THE BASICS
→ EST timezone.
→ Storybook-style; third person.
→ Threading is my preferred method, but I'm open to doing a mixture of AIM and threading.
→ PB and listed fandoms only. I play both males and females. The male characters I like to write tend to be older.
→ I'm a writer, so I roleplay as a writing exercise. Therefore, I am very interested in the process of creating complex characters, relationships and storylines. I like to see growth. I like to brainstorm, share ideas, plan. I don't want to just slap a generic personality on a cute face and have our characters bump into each other. Let's put in some effort!
→ As far as sex scenes go, I prefer not to write them out. However; there are those rare occassions when writing them out benefits the storyline because of the subtext that's involved. When the sex is going to be more than just sex, then I'm open to writing them in a way that focuses more on the emotions and subtext that are driving the scene, rather than the actual act itself.
→ I'm open to group psls, too!
STORYLINES
→ Genres I Like: Drama (realistic or soap opera-y), comedy, fantasy, historical, adventure, Tim Burton-esque horror. Occassionally, science fiction and supernatural.
→ Themes I Like: Forbidden romances, affairs, unlikely pairings, rivalry, quirkyness, satire, mystery, putting a fresh spin on or taking inspiration from existing stories.
→ What I Don't Like: Dark, heavy themes such as drugs, rape, incest, etc.
→ Fandoms: Alice In Wonderland, All My Children, Love Actually, One Tree Hill, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek.
